Has it been a year since we first launched the website already?
Time flies and I hoped to have had more time to develop the website further but life always seems to get in the way somehow. So what has changed, well I have been using the new camera for a little while now and have taken many more photos at various events with the help of friends and the local camera club. I have been learning how to use WordPress and various photography software in order to show case more of my work.
The website itself has undergone a transformation from its initial launch and now has a more modern look and feel. As of two days ago it was also migrated to a new host so apologies for any broken pages or links but hopefully it looks like most of the heavy lifting is done. More news on the plans for the website soon but I hope to get more of my work on display.
This brings me on to photography software, which do you use? For me the ON1 Photo Raw package up until recently was my weapon of choice as it is a lot simpler and quicker to process images than say Photoshop as there is less of a learning curve. Unfortunately the minimum specs of the software have now changed (blasted Ai) so I have been forced to re-evaluate what I am going to use to process my images.
I am now using a combination of Luminar Neo which is very close to an ON1 replacement, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and the Affinity suite by Serif which consists of the Photo, Designer and Publisher software packages. Why so many you ask, well I need to learn them al anyway so the idea was to try a few and decide which was the easiest to use, produced the best results and ultimately what was the most cost effective choice (i’m looking at Adobe when here when looking at how expensive software is).
Well that’s it for now I will reveal more as time goes on and I wouldn’t want to give too much away just yet. I obviously want people to come back and look at the website again as new content goes live. Take care and see you soon.
